Happy Birthday Bentley, Bronson, and Arabella!

To say the past year has been a blur would be an understatement! I can remember finding out we were pregnant with triplets and being so thankful, so grateful, yet so overwhelmed with feelings of being inadequate for such a great task. As I've experienced time and time again.... God is faithful. He blessed us with three beautiful healthy babies at 36 weeks who got to come home from the hospital just days after being born. He provided immediate help from family and friends to get us through those initial days of feeding preemies every 2 hours, sleepless nights, entertaining a two year old, and establishing a new routine as a family. There were many days, and still are, that I wake up saying God I am so thankful for this life you've given me but I can't do it today.... I can't be the Mommy you've called me to be. I'm too tired or too worn out. Yet, as always he gives me the strength to get out of bed and love on my babies the best I can and I go to bed so many nights praising him for another wonderful day!
I want so badly to remember every detail of these days. The day they rolled over, crawled, said Momma or Dadda... but unfortunately, in the rush of it all, I've forgotten a lot of those wonderful firsts that they have accomplished over the past year. What I do remember is those tiny hands in the early weeks that would wrap around my finger as I nursed, the hours of singing lullabies in the wee hours of the morning, the funny faces they would make when they tasted their first foods, being able to recognize each ones cry no matter how tired we were. There is nothing like having your child wrap their arms around you and plant a big wet smoosh on your face, I have had more of those smooches already than I thought I would get in a lifetime!
I hope I never forget what a wonderful Big Sister Adalyn is to her siblings. From even the first days home, as overwhelming as it must have been for her, she loved on those babies, about smothered them to death with her kisses, and was proud to tell everyone we met "We have triplets!".
For the triplets party we did a sock monkey theme with the help of my creative sister Lacy. She had everything from water bottle labels to birthday hats prepared for the big day. The party for my family was at my mom and dad's house and was a lot of fun. The babies took a nap during lunch but were ready to go when they woke up. They loved their cake and got a lot of great gifts! Craig's family celebrated their birthday's at our Thanksgiving celebration which was at our house this year. We had a nice time with all the cousins including Tori, Chase, and Kennedy from out of town.
I couldn't possibly put into words how blessed we are with our children. I couldn't be happier that we were chosen to have three babies at one time. It has grown Craig and I in ways that we couldn't have imagined. We've had to lean on each other and on our faith to keep our sanity in this crazy life and we're loving it!
Bronson started walking a couple of days ago and is quickly becoming steady on his feet. Bentley is going to be following close behind as he learns to stand on his own and our sweet Bell is quite content just hanging out watching her brothers. She is our cuddle bug and would probably sit on our laps all day if we let her. They are all so different despite being in the same environment all day together. It's going to be so much fun watching them interact as they become more mobile in the next year. I pray God continues to watch over and protect them and equips Craig and I to raise them to know Him and live for Jesus all of their days.
